Following the success of the 2017 30th Anniversary event, we’re making 2019 even bigger and better.

You asked for a big event décor build to be involved with large scale events, so we’re obliging by having a full day of décor on Saturday 5th October. Designed and led by the fabulous Tampilipe Corbelin of Switzerland you’ll be a part of creating something truly amazing and magical – definitely one for your portfolios and not to be missed.

However, if you’ve wanted to take your Qualatex CBA exam then we’ll be holding one of these on the Saturday too.

The Saturday night will then host an opening drinks reception, before we all start classes on the Sunday and Monday with a fabulous Gala Dinner on the Sunday night.

The Event Build:

Saturday is all about big scale balloon décor on the theme of Enchantment. Working under team leaders, you’ll be hands-on recreating the vision of Tampilipe Corbelin. One not to be missed as it’ll give you the confidence to tackle large décor.

The Training:

Then there will be a mix of 90 minute and 3 hour classes on the Sunday and Monday from 9am til 5.30 with a mix of masterclasses and hand-on classes. We have a brilliant line-up of international and home-grown Instructors to inspire you and make your balloon creations even more unique and amazing.

The Competiton:

This year our competition is a pre-enter and bring on the day…we want Enchanted Themed table centrepieces. These will be voted on by all the delegates and the one with the highest number of votes wins. The winner will be announced and collect their prize at the Gala Dinner on the Sunday evening.

Qualatex have kindly agreed to run a CBA exam on the Saturday for those wishing to attend – please book this via Carol Dack at Qualatex Certificates will be awarded at the Gala Dinner on the Sunday.

The Gala Awards Ceremony:

A great excuse to all let our hair down and network with other balloonies. Who better to understand your little foibles and frustrations than other balloon decorators from all over the UK and Europe.

Networking in such a fun industry is a wonderful way to expand your support systems and put faces to names. The award-winning catering team at The Slate will be providing us with a fabulous meal, there will be drinking and dancing, plus awards, live music and entertainment, with the added bonus of your bedrooms being just across the road outside.

If you have ANY questions about this spectacular event, please contact one of the committee or the NABAS office by email or by calling 01787 221026.

We can’t wait to see you there.
