You asked for a big event décor build to be involved with large scale events, so we obliging by having a full day of décor on Saturday 5th October. Designed and led by the fabulous Tampilipe Corbelin of Switzerland, thank you for being part of creating something truly amazing and magical.

The Event Build:
Saturday was all about big scale balloon décor on the theme of Enchantment. Working under team leaders, you were hands-on recreating the vision of Tampilipe Corbelin.
The Training:
There was a mix of 90 minute and 3 hour classes on the Sunday and Monday with a mix of masterclasses and hands-on classes. This was complemented by a brilliant line-up of international and home-grown Instructors that inspired and helped to make your balloon creations even more unique and amazing.
The Gala Awards Ceremony:
A great excuse to all let our hair down and network with other balloonies. Who better to understand your little foibles and frustrations than other balloon decorators from all over the UK and Europe.
Networking in such a fun industry is a wonderful way to expand your support systems and put faces to names. The award-winning catering team at The Slate provided us with a fabulous meal, there was drinking and dancing, plus awards, live music and entertainment. Congratulations to all our worthy winners!
Tampilipe Corbelin from Geneva
Tampilipe Le Magnifique! Huge sculptures, giant decor and the real WOW factor is what this international balloon artist prides himself on. Working with industry giants, teaching at industry events, Tampilipe continues to share his knowledge and passion and we are delighted that he lead the Enchanted Big Build on Saturday. He also held classes teaching the techniques for boarded balloon letters and numbers.
Carla Romina Finali from Barcelona
This inspirational lady returned to us, with her uniquely independent style, design and passion for the beauty and art of balloons. Teaching all over the World, she runs a successful business in Barcelona, is the founder of CEBA (European Convention of Balloon Artists) and promotes this wonderful art everywhere she goes. She showed us some unique techniques in true Romina style!
Christopher Horne – sponsored by Amscan
World renowned trainer and demonstrator of balloon decor skills and event decoration, Chris is the International Creative Projects Manager at Amscan International UK and held classes on both Sunday and Monday
Colin Myles – sponsored by Qualatex
With over 20 years of experience in balloon decoration, Colin has gained over 30 international awards for his balloon art in both decor and twisting and has taught around the World. Colin taught an intermediate balloon weaving class on the Monday
Rob Driscoll
Multi award winning balloon artist and magician with over 25 years experience. The Bowtie Balloon Guy is not just your average balloon twister, as those from the 2017 event will know, his creations are simply incredible. Continuing the enchanted theme with intermediate twisting of princesses and stand alone numbers and letters.
Stuart Davies – sponsored by Qualatex
In his relatively short career in the balloon industry, Stuart has gained international recognition thanks to his large-scale projects, such as the Walt Disney International Pride Events.In 2018 he became the newest Qualatex Instructor in Europe, and in the last 12 months he has received great acclaim at numerous locations including WBC 2018, Saudi Qualatex Convention, Ireland, UK, Italy and most recently FLOAT 2019.
Liz Bylett – face and body painting
Award Winning Face and Body Painter, Guinness World Record Holder, Author and owner of Follies Face and Body art and The Living Art Show. Her class was limited to 20 delegates and included Liz’s training book for each delegate booked.
Capel Manor – School of Floristry and Balloon Artistry
London’s leading land-based College offers a wide range of internationally recognised courses in floristry, balloon artistry and event styling, taught by exceptional tutors with vast amounts of industry experience. They joined us for both days showing floristry skills within balloon decor.
Jessops Academy
So many of us struggle with taking stunning photographs, so we have brought you a master class in photography. The training will be led by a member of their Award Winning Academy Training Team. All their Trainers are experienced photographers and have a broad knowledge of all cameras and smartphones to ensure you get the best from them.
