Following on from the success of the NABAS video calls we will be hold regular support webinars for NABAS members.
It’s for everybody in our industry, so that includes all Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Retailers and Decorators.
NO, we don’t have all the answers, but we do have access and information from trade bodies and industry experts, not just media hype and hysteria. PLUS…we are all in this together, and I believe the coming together of likeminded people with a common cause/interest and showing our support for each other will go some way in helping us get to the other side.
I’m currently Chairman of NABAS, that’s the Industry’s Trade Association for anyone involved in Balloon and Party. It’s not my company, I don’t get a salary or a dividend, it’s owned collectively by all the members. And with a total of 5 committee members and a management company it’s our job to support not only our members but everyone in our industry. And if this isn’t a time for open communication, sharing and support, I don’t know when is!
As well as this, I’m a director at GO International and my company is an importer, wholesaler and manufacturer of balloons and party products. I can’t comment on the rest of the World, but when it comes to the UK my company is pretty much the oldest one standing when it comes to who set it up and who’s still running it. Yes, regrettably I really am that old!! Which I guess is why my kids are attempting a forced lock down and self-isolation of me!
More importantly, reading my thoughts, watching my videos or joining our video calls really isn’t compulsory. If this isn’t for you, please block, delete, mute, ridicule, or whatever other action you want to take, with old age comes a thick skin so I promise not to take offence.
